Dr. Samir Kumar Lal felt strongly that all humans are entitled to medical care regardless of their names and financial status. He had the vision and determination to serve society when he had seen people struggling to get the proper medical treatment.
He has completed his schooling at Netarhat residential school 2001-2005 batch and his higher secondary education at Delhi public school, Ranchi 2005-2007 batch. He completed his MBBS degree 2009 batch from Darbhanga medical college and hospital, Bihar. Post  MBBS he has worked as a Junior resident doctor in Taruma center, AIIMS Delhi. Following that, he has completed this MS degree in Ophthalmology 2018 batch from Patna medical college and hospital and currently working as a Medical officer in Govt. Hopsital Rohtas, Bihar.
With the help of a small group of medical and non-medical volunteers, he has conducted several free medical camps across Bihar and Jharkhand, which have helped several patients to get the proper eye treatment.
As an ophthalmologist, he always feels that he is blessed with a great career that gives him the knowledge of taking care of medical problems and diseases related to the eyes but with this comes responsibilities and commitments to treat all patients with empathy and dignity.
He believes that we should share any talent we have been given by god with others especially those in most need and who do not have the resources to pay. What greater pleasure to give without expecting payment in return! What greater gift than to see the smile on the faces of those you have helped!
With the above mission, he is moving ahead in his medical career.
